The Central Interior Logging Association "CILA" represents almost 400 independent logging
contractors in Northern British Columbia.
The CILA works for the common
good of the total membership and makes representation on the issues of
forest and log-hauling legislation at federal, provincial and regional
levels.
The CILA has enjoyed many
successes over the years, influencing political and regulatory
decisions that have improved the business climate for loggers and
truckers.
Notable examples are evergreen contracts and an
arbitration process through Bill 13, Employment standards Act and
Forest Practices Code changes, logging truck load configurations,
safety and training standards and initiatives..and the list goes
on.... |
